Oh today has been such a productive day!! Frankie and I started really packing up some of our things today. We got all of my school stuff, text books and all, put in boxes! Then we got all of our dvd’s and video games packed too. Oh, and our pictures frames and shelves. I wish I knew how to remove candle soot-like stuff from the walls… hoping that our landlord allows us to repaint for him if we can’t get it off by any other means. We made a deal for this next apartment–no candles by the wall! So yes, today felt good getting things packed. We don’t have a lot of big stuff.. just a lot of junk I feel like. Once August comes around though, we can start packing dishes and things like that. Hopefully we will feel even more accomplished.
Anyway, like I said on my last post from earlier, I was in the middle of making today’s recipe. It turned out pretty good. It’s not something someone is probably used to calling a salad because it’s thinly sliced peppers, and I used red and yellow ones instead of green like the recipe called for. But it had a really nice taste of vinegar(I didn’t use the right kind either just because I didn’t want to go buy ANOTHER vinegar). But yes, I was very happy with this recipe also. It was quick and easy and definitely edible, unlike that amazing Palestine soup I made the other day.
Oh, and today I also learned what a broiler is for real! I know that’s silly haha but I had never quite understood what broiling something meant. I thought it was like.. a pan but called a broiler. Anyway no idea. But I figured that out today finally!
I don’t really know what I am going to make tomorrow. We haven’t been able to go shopping for this weeks meals, plus I haven’t really sat down with the cookbook yet to see what is the most cost-favorable recipes. Goal on Friday (unless I can pick up a shift).. get recipes down!! Well, hope you all are having a good night!
